The SkyFeed Lock was designed as a specialized backfeed preventer, precisely tailored to the geometry of Skylotec carabiner legs. It reliably fixes your belay device (such as a Grigri) at the optimal apex, prevents it from sliding down the back of the carabiner, and ensures smooth, low-friction rope pulling during sharp lead climbing.

🪢

Targeted Backfeed Protection

Prevents the rope weight from sagging and pulling back, ensuring that the belay device always remains correctly oriented and ready to catch.

🛡️

Hardware Protection

Tear-resistant, impact-tough, and weather-resistant: Dampens hard impacts and prevents abrasion on the aluminum of the carabiner.

📐

Skylotec Custom Fit

Tailor-made for the cross-section of common Skylotec hardware – no slipping, rattling, or twisting.

📦

Practical Set Size

Always have a spare at hand: Ideally divided for the main belay setup, chest harness routing, and material loop.

Compatibility & Range of Use

Specially designed for Skylotec locking carabiners (e.g. PassO series, Double models, and oval carabiners)

Ideally suited for common LRS belay devices (e.g. Petzl Grigri 2 / Plus) in lead climbing

Suitable for use on belay loops, extension loops, or chest harness constructions for device hanging

Technical Data

Material & Fit

TPU 95A (thermoplastic polyurethane, semi-flexible).
