Dino Forest Les Grottes Préhisto-Parc
Trip report for the excursion to Réclère in the Jura, right on the French border
Our Excursion
Over Easter, we went on an excursion to the Dino Forest, as this topic is currently very popular with Louis. For this, we drove to Réclère in the Jura, right on the French border.
We arranged to meet with the Brunners, Matters, and Binggelis to surprise the children, first with an Easter egg hunt, and second with the Dino Forest. We also visited the associated stalactite cave.
For lunch, we baked bread rolls and grilled together. Afterwards, we walked the round tour. It was pleasant as there weren't many people.
Admission for a combi-ticket (cave+dino forest) costs 15 CHF for adults and 10 CHF for children aged 5 and over.
In the Dino Forest, we also hid chalk dino eggs for everyone... They were all thrilled and full of excitement. Completely exhausted and full of impressions, we went to a restaurant for dinner in the evening.
We were very lucky with the weather, as a storm was originally forecast for the entire weekend... in reality, it only started raining on Saturday evening, after our visit.
