Idyllic Meeting Point & Pitch near Willisau in Canton Lucerne
Our Trip
Our trip led us to a cozy family gathering at the Lothar Hut on Mettenberg. After prior arrangement with the owners, we were allowed to arrive the day before and spend the night directly on the parking lot. Since the hut was exclusively reserved for our group, spending the night was not a problem.
There is no infrastructure on site, which is why complete self-sufficiency is a prerequisite. Due to its location, one mainly enjoys the morning sun – however, from mid-afternoon, the sun disappears behind the hills, which means one should be prepared with warmer clothing.

A beautifully located place to simply relax and enjoy nature. From here, wonderful hikes can be started around Willisau or further afield across the gentle hills towards Ostergau.
