Description:

Finding a parking spot for a campervan directly in Montreux is often a challenge. The parking garages are too low, and along the main road on Lake Geneva, spots are usually limited to 1 to 3 hours (arriving early is worthwhile!).

The promenade in Montreux is wonderfully beautiful – it's worth staying for the sunset.

We spent the night in Noville, near the Les Grangettes nature reserve. A campsite with a restaurant is about a 20-minute walk away. From here, excellent tours can be taken on foot, by bike, or with inline skates. The short walk to the viewpoint and the small natural beach on Lake Geneva is also very worthwhile.

Note: The sun disappears relatively early in the evening behind the surrounding mountains.
