Sonogno is an idyllic village at the end of the Verzasca Valley in Ticino, known for its picturesque location and traditional Ticinese stone houses (rustici). Surrounded by steep mountains and dense forests, the village offers a wonderfully authentic atmosphere and serves as an ideal starting point for hikes and nature experiences. The clear Verzasca river with its natural pools invites you to cool off in summer, while the cobblestone alleys and flower-adorned squares invite you to linger. A wonderful place for anyone seeking peace and original Ticinese village culture.

Description:
Designated parking area specifically for motorhomes and campers at the entrance to Sonogno village. The village itself has a charming old town center and a small village shop for daily needs.
From the pitch, you can directly start the easy walk to the imposing Cascata della Froda waterfall or embark on extensive mountain tours in the valley.
Tip: A detour to the local bakery for traditionally baked wood-fired bread is highly recommended (approx. CHF 5.00 per loaf). A visit to the Grotto Efra restaurant is also highly recommended.
