After 18 months and almost 17,000 km, it was time for Franky's first service.
Several key points were addressed:
- Engine Oil: TOTAL Quartz 0W30 engine oil was used for the oil change – optimal for modern diesels and the Citroën Jumper.
- Oil Filter and Seal: The oil filter and its corresponding seal were replaced to keep Franky's engine clean and protected.
-
Air and Cabin Filters: We replaced these two filters ourselves. A clean cabin filter ensures fresh air and protects the air conditioning system.
Windscreen Washer Fluid and Antifreeze: The windscreen washer fluid was topped up and treated with antifreeze down to -35 °C – important for winter. - AdBlue®: The urea solution, which is necessary for exhaust aftertreatment, was refilled.
- Service Indicators: The service indicator and oil wear counter were reset according to the maintenance schedule.
Savings Potential on Consumables We can handle a few minor things ourselves in the future to reduce maintenance costs:
- Windscreen Washer Fluid: If we top up the windscreen washer fluid before the service, we save the cost of this simple task.
- AdBlue®: We can also refill AdBlue beforehand, which reduces service effort.
- Other Parts: We have already taken over the replacement of the air and cabin filters ourselves – a small but useful saving.
Citroën Maintenance Schedule The Citroën Jumper requires regular maintenance every 20,000 km or at least every year, whichever comes first.
This maintenance includes:
- Oil and filter change
- Checking and topping up antifreeze, AdBlue, windscreen washer fluid, and brake fluid if necessary
- Checking battery, lighting, and brakes
- Diagnostic tests for electronics and vehicle software
By adhering to this plan, Franky stays fit and ready for the road
