🔧 Step-by-Step Mounting Instructions ▾

Take your time for a clean installation – careful preparation guarantees maximum adhesion:

Protect the GriGri: Carefully tape off the area around the mounting zone on the GriGri with masking tape/painter's tape to keep the device protected from adhesive residue and scratches.
Expose the contour: Carefully cut out the contour of the Delphin on the masking tape with a cutter and peel the adhesive tape off the bonding surface.
Lightly sand: Lightly sand both the mounting surface on the GriGri and the underside of the Delphin with fine sandpaper to roughen the surface.
Degrease & Clean: Thoroughly clean both surfaces with isopropanol so that they are completely dust- and grease-free.
Glue & Align: Apply suitable adhesive evenly, press the Delphin precisely and position it.
Peel off the masking tape: Remove the remaining masking tape before the adhesive has completely dried for clean edges.
Allow to cure: Let it rest and cure completely for at least 24 hours before the setup is loaded or used!

Attention – Only for experienced climbers with appropriate training:

No official approval: The manufacturer Petzl expressly prohibits and does not certify the use of GriGri and NEOX for Lead Rope Solo (LRS) climbing.
No active protection: This adapter is purely a positioning aid. It does not increase the holding force or safety function of your device.
Strangulation protection & weak link: The holding eyelet is deliberately designed as a weak link and can/should break in the event of a fall or uncontrolled pull to prevent getting hung up or strangulation.
Easily separable connection: Use exclusively a thin, easily cuttable cord or an elastic band with low tensile strength for attachment – under no circumstances high-strength cords (such as Dyneema/Aramid) or solid metal carabiners.
Redundancy is mandatory: Never climb rope solo without a redundant backup system (e.g., backup knot, belay loop, or backup clamp).
